By London & Capital | 16 Jul, 2024

We are delighted to announce the appointment of James Barrie as an Executive Director to our Private Investment Office team.

James brings nearly a decade of experience working with Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) individuals and families. Prior to joining London & Capital, James spent 9 years at a UK-based wealth manager with a focus on multi-jurisdictional, Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) families. Having joined that business at its inception, he helped build the proposition for clients of significant size and complexity. This became a core service line and specialism for the firm with James looking after many of the largest and more complex families as their trusted adviser. James is a CFA Charterholder and has been awarded a Diploma in Investment Advice and the IMC. He has a 1st Class BSc Hons degree in Economics from The University of Leeds.

Commenting on his appointment, James said, “I am delighted to be joining London & Capital within the Private Investment Office (PIO) team, focussing on large, complex clients who require personalised attention and advice. In leveraging the breadth and depth of expertise across London & Capital’s investment, tax and wealth structuring teams, the proposition for our clients with sophisticated investment affairs, multi-jurisdictional tax considerations and unique planning needs is hugely exciting.”

Iain Tait, Partner and Head of Private Investment Office at London & Capital, added, “We are absolutely delighted that James has decided to join the Private Investment Office team. James brings a wealth of experience and expertise of working with UHNW individuals and families, which will further strengthen the quality of our offering to existing and new clients that we look after.”
